The movie Midnight’s children star Rahul Bose is indifferent over the latest controversy relating Salman Rushdie which has left him miserable.
The author of THE SATANIC VERSES was expected to promote the film in Kolkata but delivered a crunching ditch at the last moment as he canceled his trip.
Rahul Bose plays the General Zulfiqar character in an 11 minute role in the film. Some Muslim groups were seen protesting outside the airport against Salman’s arrival in Kolkata. The author even got death threats from such groups previously back in the year 1988.
Rahul Bose finally realized the situation but was sad too for the writer not able to make his visit for the film’s promotion.
